The float pad is the most common float tank you will see. You have the ability to close the lid fully (recommended) or leave it partially or fully open. The light and audio controls inside the pod give you full control over your experience. The pod is specifically designed to maintain a perfect balance of air and water temperature using passive airflow to keep the session totally senseless. The pod is near 8 feet long and 4.5 feet tall, so when laying in the water, it is far more expansive than what meets the eye.
About Float Therapy
Float Therapy involves relaxing in an environment free of sensory input while laying weightless in a private sea of high density Epsom Salt solution, allowing ideal conditions for mental and physical rest and healing.
The Epsom Salt water solution creates a
Zero Gravity Environment,
relieving back and joint related pains.
The light and music is in your full control,
so you can figure out what you prefer during your session.
Six Quick Steps To Enjoy Your Float
Take a PreFloat Rinse:
This is to limit any contaminants from getting into the water, body oils, lotions, deodorants, etc.
No not literally. Take your time stepping into the tank. We recommend sitting down in the water then laying back. Once buoyant, adjust the lighting and audio to your preference.
Dry Your Face!
Drying your face and pulling your hair back help to avoid having to touch your face while floating, although a small hand towel and fresh water spray bottle are provided in the tank.
For guests with a history of neck issues, we offer "The Float Halo," a small floaty that fits the head and offers additional support. Adjusting arm positions while in session can also help with comfort levels. Not to worry though, we will walk through each step when you come in.
Ear Plugs In!
We provide silicone ear plugs and strongly recommend using them. Some guests choose to float without earplugs, but most choose to and find them to be extremely helpful.
Get Your Float On:
Sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly, each float session is different in its own way. Relax, enjoy the session, focus on your breath, and enjoy whatever intention you may have set for yourself for that session.
More About Floating.. The Elements
We bring the Dead Sea to you!
1,000 lbs of Epsom Salt is dissolved in each pod. This amount of salt is about 10% more dense than the Dead Sea, allowing any body to float, effortlessly, while laying down in the water. Zero Gravity has a tremendous impact on relieving pressure on the back and joints, and the MgSO4 (Epsom Salt)
Lightless and Soundless
The idea of Sensory Deprivation is to block out, or remove all sensory input. This includes light and sound. Although these are both optional throughout the entire float experience, we encourage you to try turning them both off to allow your mind the ultimate disconnect and a better chance of reaching the Theta State.
The Epsom Salt water solution is so concentrated that it allows your body to float like a cork in the water, negating the effects of gravity. This has a dramatic effect on your body, primarily your back, to allow natural realignment and extreme relaxation for your body.
While in the Float Tank, you are removing yourself from the outside world. This allows your mind and awareness to turn inward, which is something we often neglect or don't put much attention towards on a daily basis.
